I'm a native Kansas City, Kansan but have crossed over to the dark side of Johnson County, specifically Overland Park! I ilve with my partner of 6.5 years and have two dogs and two cats. I currently work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City but am keeping my options open. My B.S. in Criminal Justice is from Washburn (oh how I miss T-town!).

I've decided to start this "hubpage" in order to document my lap-band journey. My surgery date is 9-16-09 and I am so ready for this. Unless you know someone that has had it, it's hard for most to withold judgement but I've learned that this is not a cure-all - it is a tool and I'm going to respect it.
